Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology
The Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program is organized around two central training goals: (1) To prepare entry levelcounseling psychologists who are well-trained and competent in both the practice and science of the profession and (2) To prepare counseling psychologists who are leaders in the field, especially as it relates to serving diverse and underserved populations. Student mastery of these overarching goals is promoted through specific training objectives and assessed through a variety of competency assessment activities.
The Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program is accredited by the American Psychological Association.* Our last accreditation review was completed in December 2005 and we earned 7 years of accredited status.
