The overall mission of the Plus Program is to promote safety, well-being and stability for children and families through education, support and resource connection. The PLUS Program provides an opportunity for social work student interns to provide coordination of services to strengthen families by connecting them with resources and supports. Students work under the direct supervision of a Social Work faculty member in the Department of Social Work.
The PLUS Program strives to accommodate families' busy schedules and transportation needs by meeting with families in their homes or other convenient locations at times that work for them. PLUS engages families on a short-term basis to highlight and build upon family strengths. PLUS services are provided at no cost to the family with no income verification or insurance required. Services are available to any family who live in the County of Grand Forks, who have children who live in the home under the age of 17, and are willing to participate in services on a voluntary basis.
