University of North Dakota M.Ed. in ELL Education
This degree is the highest academic credential normally held by teachers in the field of ELL education. While the program focuses on K-12 education in the United States, the program is also responsive to those planning to teach adult ESL or teach English overseas. The program may be completed in six semesters. A 90-hour practicum is required in addition to a final scholarly project or independent study.

Certificate in ELL Education
The Certificate in ELL Education program offers a 20-credit, 7 course sequence which fulfills the requirements for the North Dakota ELL teacher endorsement. The program may be completed in 4 semesters. This program is for those who do not need or want a full master’s program, but who want documentation of their studies in the field.
