For the M.Ed., teacher licensure at one of the following levels: early childhood, elementary, middle or secondary education.
For the M.S., licensure (early childhood, elementary, middle or secondary), or a baccalaureate degree in another field of study.
The Reading Education programs follow the Graduate School requirements for a cumulative undergraduate minimum grade point average of 2.75 or a junior/senior year minimum grade point average of 3.00. All non-native speakers of English are required to submit scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Please see the Graduate School Admission Requirements for acceptable scores. Transcripts, recommendations, and a personal statement (i.e., a response to three essay prompts) are part of the Graduate School and Reading Education application procedure. The personal statement essay should be 2-3 pages in length and the prompts are:
