Statistics Overview
In seventeen years of the program (since Fall 1997):
- 178/259, 69% RTs have been employed as special education teachers in 39 school districts in the state of ND: Belcourt (2), Bismarck (2), Bottineau (1), Cannon Ball (1), Central Valley (3), Devils Lake (3), Dickinson (3), Dunseith (1), Enderlin (1), Fargo (14), Fort Totten (1), Grafton (3), Grand Forks (52), Gwinner (2), Harvey (1), Hebron (1), Hillsboro (1), Horace (1), Jamestown (10), Kensal (1), Killdeer (2), Kindred (1), Larimore (2), Lisbon (1), Litchville/Marion (1), Lonetree (1), Mandan (6), Manvel (2), Mayville (1), Milnor (1), Minto (1), Northwood (2), Park River (1), Portland (2), Rolla (1), Rugby (1), Sawyer (1), Thompson (1), Valley City (3), Wahpeton (1), West Fargo (16), Williston (2).
- 81 RTs have been employed as special education teachers in 14 states outside of North Dakota and Internationally (Korea): Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, South Dakota, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
- Thus, 246/259, 95% who completed the program have been employed as special education teachers.
Note that 91 different schools in the state of ND have received special education support from the RTs for one full year, even though the district may not have hired the RT after that year (e.g., no position available, lack of funds, competition for a position).
