Welcome from the Dean
Welcome to the University of North Dakota College of Education and Human Development, where we provide exceptional educational opportunities for those aspiring to become tomorrow's leaders in teaching, public education, health and mental health promotion, and affirmative human development. As a recognized college in the premiere university for the state of North Dakota, we are committed to preparing competent, committed, and reflective professionals who are outstanding in teaching, cutting-edge research, outreach, and service provision.
We enrich the student learning experience through active learning environments. We encourage student gathering throughout our state of the art building and across the university campus. We facilitate collaboration within disciplines for a well-rounded student experience. We help to expand UND's presence in the community and nationally as our faculty and students serve on local and national boards and present their work at national conferences. We enhance quality of life for our faculty and staff by offering creative learning and working opportunities.
Our alumni ranks exceed 17,000 and they reside in all 50 states and 35 countries. They provide leadership and expanded opportunities for others in K-12 schools and higher education institutions as well as in a wide range of health, exercise, sport, and human development fields. You can find them on the sidelines of your favorite sports teams as athletic trainers, serving others in health promotion, leading schools and districts, trained in special education, rehabilitation, recreation and tourism, counseling and in the professions of psychology.
We invite you to be an active part of our exceptional community.
