OTRR leads in teacher education career recruitment for the next generation, as well as the developmental support of existing educators.

GRO.UND (pronounced "grow UND") connects students and the community to the natural world through place-based and experiential garden education. Thanks to GRO.UND, the city of Grand Forks has its first StoryWalk and Learning Gardens, located at the northwest intersection of University Avenue and Harvard Street.

Designed to promote the literacy development of struggling readers and writers, UND's Summer Reading Camp serves as a clinical practicum for students in Reading Education programs.

UND’s Summer Bilingual Writing Camp celebrates and empowers the voices, identities, and well-being of bilingual and multilingual youth through writing. They will be led by highly educated and experienced coaches who will guide, support, and encourage students throughout the camp.

Children and families can enjoy Spanish Storytime on the third Saturday of each month at the Grand Forks Public Library. This half-hour event provides experiential learning for all and space for Spanish-speaking community residents to value and celebrate the language.

Inclusive Moves is a free evaluative summer sports camp for children aged 7 to 14 with developmental disabilities.

ND HOPES is a statewide suicide prevention initiative with a specific focus on western North Dakota that provides programs, resources, and supports for all residents and tailored programming for rural communities, veterans, and youth.

The Torchbearer Awards were established by the college and its Alumni Advisory Board (CAAB) to honor alumni and friends who exemplify the college’s core values through leadership, innovation, service, and mentorship.
